This is an exceptional Negra, in near new condition. Flamenco phenomenon Gerardo Nunez owns and plays Marvi guitars. Gerardo owns both a Marvi Negra and a Marvi Blanca and he used his Marvi guitars on his newest CD as well as his well known instructional DVD "La Guitarra Flamenca". I visited with Andres (Marvi) when in Spain recently and found him to be very engaging and completely dedicated to creating superb guitars. This guitar has a very flamenco feel/action/tone with quick punchy bases and clear beautiful trebles. The sides are doubled for strength and to help provide additional 'power' and the elevated fingerboard not only makes it very easy to play, but Marvi builds his necks to that they go all the way to the soundhole. This not only adds strength, but also improves sustain particularly from the 12th to 20th fret. Truly a cutting edge Flamenco Negra.
