Many consider Reyes guitars from the ‘80’s his best. Witness the ’88 played by Vicente Amigo to hear why. This flawless 1984 Blanca proves once again why this is true. The guitar was re-polished ( NOT refinished ) to perfection by Henri Besancon, who also refined the action. The result: a Reyes that is literally better than new. The finish is like glass, the action plays so comfortably that passages that would be a challenge on other guitars, flow easily here. Although many blancas can have very ‘thin’ sounding trebles and in general lack in sustain, this guitar excels in this regard having lush trebles that are almost Negra like in their beauty and basses that have just the perfect flamenco ‘buzz’ and snap. Reyes has a 22 year waiting list now, and his guitars today after shipping and duty and dealing with the exchange rate can cost nearly $15,000 US directly from him! You can have this guitar NOW and for less money too!
