This guitar quickly found a new home, if you are looking for a fine classical guitar please give me a call... I love Plazuelo Blanca's, along with Juan Miguel Gonzalez I would have to say they comprise my personal favorite builders in all of Spain. Now I play a custom Reyes Negra, and a custom Arcangel Blanca, a true honor. Having said that, Juan Miguel and Plazuelo provide a level of experience for the player that matches that of playing a fine Reyes or Arcangel. That is not a statement I make often. After playing and owning many many fine flamenco guitars, and playing many Plazuelo and Juan Miguel guitars, I have arrived at the conclusion that Plazuelo and Juan Miguel may very well become the 'next' Reyes or the 'next' Arcangel. This guitar was acquired by a very nice client of mine new, several years ago, along with a stunning Marin Classical. He has enjoyed it for all these years, but now tells me that his arthritis has caused him to make the decision to stop playing now, and so he asked me to find a loving home for his prize Plazuelo. The guitar has been kept in great condition overall, no cracks and no repairs and with only minor playing wear and one longer and more noticable string impression below the bridge where a D string flopped across and left a mild impression, otherwise it is like the day I sold it to him 7 years ago. Now well played in the guitar has a wonderful blend of characters, Arcangel- like Basses and Reyes- like trebles. Easy to play, and a great Blanca to hear it is musical while punchy, rich while bright, and musical while focused. Really a very nice Blanca that has only improved with age and well priced, thousands below a new Plazuelo. |
