Robert Ruck is the ‘ luthier’s luthier’ and many of the best known and most respected luthiers note Robert as inspirational to them. Over his long productive career, many artists, including Manuel Barrueco, have chosen to record and play a Ruck guitar. This guitar is an excellent example of Robert’s work and one where he selected lovely woods, the Indian rosewood is excellent, he added Rodgers tuners, and he even added one of his relatively rare and lovely carved headstocks. In addition this instrument has sound ports which many players find to provide an inspiring ‘stereophonic’ effect for the player. No cracks or repairs, in excellent condition and with Robert’s well known and much loved ‘voicing’, she sings with a notable romantic Spanish influenced voice and is yet contemporary enough for modern pieces as well. Well balanced and with an exquisite action. A lovely Ruck.
