This guitar, like the other 1961 Lopez I happen to also have available (#291) is in similarly superb condition. Only the slightest of mild playing wear can be detected. Some delicate nail marks above the bass strings, a few very light marks below the trebles, and a string ding below the bridge, otherwise nearly new condition with no cracks and no repairs. A beautiful Lopez. Consider having this guitar, and #291 sent at the same time and pick the one that appeals to you the most. This guitar was inherited by my client from his Aunt. He reports that she was the only owner, and the guitar looks that way, it is even in a very clean original case! His Aunt was a student of Maestro Segovia, who also played this guitar and assisted his Aunt in it’s selection. In fact, the owner says he can include some sheet music that contains hand written notes by Segovia along with the guitar. A classic Lopez, well played in, in supberb condition, and with a nice story too. Lovers of vintage Spanish guitars would find this a treat. ©2007 Classic Guitars International • All rights reserved |
