What an incredible year for Dieter’s guitars, he seems to have found his ‘sweet spot’ this year and his guitars are absolutely stunning, the best he has ever built. The other thing I love is how consistently great they are, each one as good as the last. Such is the case with this guitar. I was floored by the last one he sent me, and was curious what would arrive next, and well, they could be sisters, almost identical in every way. Excellent volume and projection, wide dynamic range, super easy to play, gorgeous sustain, luxurious voice, just everything double top lovers always hope for in a concert level guitar. Just for fun I played Dieter’s guitar along side my own personal Spruce Dammann double top. Dieter’s being Cedar she actually has a bit more volume, and a bit more sustain even than my guitar, which is saying a lot as my Spruce Dammann has volume and sustain in spades. This speaks highly of Dieter’s guitar. Nicely French Polished and with Dieter’s lovely new rosette, she is a work of art to see and hear, really cementing Dieter’s position as one of the best double top builders in the world, a very small club indeed.
