Another exquisite Woodfield has found a new home, if you are interested in a Woodfield lattice guitar please contact me...

Listed on my web site, just to the left of this guitar is the last Philip Woodfield guitar that I had, "Natalie" which is essentially identical to this guitar. Scott Tennant of the LA Guitar Quartet fell in love with that guitar and acquired it for concerts and recording. Scott says he he does not have a single thing to criticize about his Woodfield. This guitar "Kelly-Lynne" has the same back and sides as Scott's and also the same Maple inner lining on the doubled sides, so not surprisingly it sounds very similar to Scott's guitar.

While Philip builds fine Cedar guitars, his true love is European spruce which he feels allows for the most complex combination of colors, clarity, and character, and this guitar showcases these attributes to perfection. His lattice bracing is refined, and 'woody' sounding and this guitar has excellent power, projection and focus while offering a beautiful shimmering tonal character. If you have a chance to hear Scott play his in concert, you'll understand immediately what I am trying to convey here.

Philip also utilized his unilateral elevated fingerboard where only the treble side is elevated, while the bass side appears like a standard fretboard. He also added his 'stealth 20th half fret' which is blacked out to appear as part of the sound hole to maintain Philips gracious sense of aesthetics. A moving and exciting concert level guitar worthy of any player...
