A few years back Casimiro, who was making nice traditional fan braced guitars at the time, wanted to find a way to blend the rich Spanish character that he so loved, with the power, focus and response of the contemporary double top and lattice braced guitars. After searching for a way to accomplish this, he discovered a patented fan braced system and acquired the rights to use it. It took him a couple more years of experimenting and modifying to adapt the system in a way that produced the results he wanted but eventually he discovered just the right combination of features to accomplish his goal, and that is when I was introduced to him by a dear concert artist friend of mine.

Now, several years later, client after client has compared Lozano guitars to guitars costing significantly more and time after time, they buy the Lozano, so that now they may equal Jim Redgate's guitars as my best selling guitars! That is no easy task, but the guitars are just an unexpected surprise at this price. I have little doubt that if they were at certain other dealers they would be priced well above this level, but Casimiro is very modest in his pricing, and we are doing our best together to keep the prices of these excellent concert guitars at this price range for as long as possible. The result has been that I can barely obtain enough guitars each year to meet the demands of my clients around the world. In addition, I fly to Spain periodically and sit in Casimiro's shop and sift for hours through his massive supply of woods selecting the best soundboards and the finest sets of backs and sides and setting them aside for the guitars made for my clients. He let's me cherry pick the best of the best.
