David's is a very meticulous craftsman and his output is very low, I am fortunate to receive one or possibly two guitars a year. This brand new Spruce recently arrived. David has been building fine guitars for many years, and his guitars are highly popular with my clients around the world. It seems whenever a client acquires an Argent, additional inquiries and orders from their friends always follow once they have a chance to play the new guitar. David's experience as an experimental engineer, his skill with CAD systems design and his ability as a player of classical guitar, all combine to result in guitars of exemplary tone and power. This guitar displays a full rich Spruce voice, round and resonant and also clear and powerful. As a player himself David knows how a neck should feel and his neck carve is always very comfortable. I love the voice of this guitar, powerful and yet expressive, a beautiful Spruce instrument. David's design of his parabolic, arched, braceless back was derived from a blend of CAD designs and building experience and it produces excellent volume and a very focused presence. His lattice bracing provides the player with ample volume but retains a roundness and fullness in the voice at the same time. 20th half fret too! I love David's guitars as do my clients who own them.
