This fine example of a Smallman has found a new home, if you are seeking a superb lattice braced concert instrument please contact me to discuss...

The last time I got on Greg's list for a new guitar was around 1997 when he wrote me asking me to assist him with a matter here in the USA, which I gladly did. He told me then it would be about a ten year wait, and sure enough I did not hear anything further for about ten years. That is a long wait for a guitar! So it is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to offer this brand new Instrument at this time.

This guitar is quintessential "Smallman", which means among the many fine attributes that are expected in these guitars, it is hard to ignore the absolute bolt you to the chair and hang on for dear life power that they possess. Whenever I am fortunate enough to have a Smallman in the shop, and clients are trying out guitars, I don't even need to be anywhere near the same room to know when they pick up the smallman. It is like they just plugged into an amp! The volume and projection are enough to give even the most gentle player the confidence that they could easily fill a concert hall. Robust to say the least.

Tonally folks find themselves in two camps about Smallman guitars, sort of those who love them, and those who don't. Two definite camps. For the many who love them, this guitar will be a dream come true. They have their own unique personality, and this has earned these instruments legions of fans around the world. I find that there are some that just don't appeal to me, and others that are quite stunning, it varies from guitar to guitar, at least with the ones that have passed through my shop over the past decade or so. This one is squarely in the 'stunning' category. She sings. Very nicely balanced, very 'full' across all registers such that it sounds like a mini orchestra with sound that surrounds you and literally fills the room. Lovely trebles and rich basses. You'll feel like a conductor of a symphony more than a guitar player, there is just so much at your command. Think about a note, and it is there. Even your most delicate flourishes are cleanly articulated, and when you want to dig deep, there is an endless reservoir at your disposal. It is instruments like this that have won so much praise from so many.

The arm rest not only prevents your forearm from impeding the free movement of the soundboard, but is also very comfortable if you are playing for longer periods of time. And I LOVE the adjustable action, just a twist of the included hex wrench and the action effortlessly raises or lowers to meet any need instantly. I am a bit surprised more builders have not attempted to incorporate this concept into their instruments, it is just a feature that will spoil you for life. The guitar also comes with a beautiful top of the line White Karura flight case, a custom fit carbon fiber case that I feel is the best in the world. In fact I discovered these cases when I received a Smallman in one for the first time.

If you have longed to own a new Smallman, here is your chance. Call me to hear more, you won't be disappointed...
