If you have been following my 'rants' about my love affair with Dominique's guitars the past few years, it will come as no surprise to you that I LOVE this guitar. As I have noted many times before, Dominique is constantly being referred to as 'the next Friedrich', and while he tells me this praise is a bit uncomfortable for him to hear, it is nonetheless simply true! I have clients who own both Friederich and Delarue guitars and who emphatically prefer their Delarue. That says a lot. As a devout lover of Friederich guitars myself, this comes as high praise. This is a delightful opportunity to acquire a near new Delarue for a couple thousand dollars less than a new one costs at this time. The guitar has been very well cared for showing only a couple marks on the sides and a two or three small unobjectionable marks on the top, otherwise it really looks brand new. The voice is what it's all about and this has that Delarue 'I am playing in an ancient church' feeling that I love, with extremely fine balance across all registers and a captivating warm yet clear voice. If you love fan braced guitars, you will love a Delarue. Period. Craftsmanship is of the highest caliber, a fine Delarue, in near new condition. There is a small, super tight, stable crack on the soundboard along the grain near the bridge on the treble side.
