Robert has again exceeded all expectations with this guitar. I guess I should be used to that by now, but each time I am fortunate enough to receive a new guitar from him he seems to have raised the bar just a little bit higher. Little wonder he is sometimes referred to as 'the Luthier's Luthier'. This instrument was inspired by the wonderful 1972 Ruck that Manuel Barrueco has performed all his recordings with. The same body shape and style, and similar bracing from that period as well. Robert thoughtfully updated the features by adding exquisite hand-made Rodgers tuners and an elevated fingerboard. He selected a beautiful piece of Cocobolo for the back and sides and the guitar is reinforced on the sides near the neck, in case the new owner should ever wish to ad Bob's sound ports at any time in the future. Workmanship is world class of course.

Playability, volume and tonal character, well what needs to be said, it is a Ruck after all. Resonant basses that you feel when you play, complimented with warm well balanced trebles that are clear and precise but that still evoke the romantic mood of the finest Spanish builders. Playability is extremely comfortable even above the 12th fret due to the moderately elevated fingerboard. Ample sustain and concert quality volume complete the attributes of this elegant guitar. Robert has now closed his waiting list and it is a true pleasure to be able to offer this new instrument for the consideration of my clients.
