I have known and worked with Dieter Mueller of Germany for more than ten years at this time. He is a highly skilled builder and up until recently was known mainly in Europe for his solid top guitars. In the past few years however Dieter has been heavily influenced by the guitars of Matthias Dammann, whom he knows, and has been building double top guitars of his own. Dieter has taken quite some time to build and experiment, using his superb knowledge, and has created his own excellent version of a Dammann inspired double top guitar. In fact, upon first glance, the feel, color and appearance of Dieter’s instruments could pass for a Dammann. Sound-wise there is a close similarity too, with strong yet musical basses, superb volume, and clear bell-like trebles. He also utilizes an elevated fingerboard as well! The Madagascar Rosewood on the back and sides is as beautiful as any Brazilian, and the Graf tuners are so precise and accurate that you will be forever spoiled by them. A highly convincing and musical double top.
