Every single Marin that I offer is hand selected in Spain either by myself, or by my good friend and concert artist. In this way I insure that my clients always get the 'pick of the litter'. If a guitar does not meet my standards, we simply leave it for others. That simple. I was unable to fly to Spain when this guitar was completed so I flew my friend in on my behalf. He called me after playing the guitar and said 'flawless'. And so here it is for your consideration. Along with Paulino Bernabe Jr. the best living builder in Spain in the opinion of many. Antonio's Bouchet inspired guitars are simply divine, emotional, musical and endearing. Matt Grief of the LA Guitar Quartet plays a Spruce Marin much like this along side of three powerful Cedar guitars, and it sounds ethereal. This guitar is a perfect example of Antonios work and continues his tradition of producing ever more refined and beautiful sounding guitars. I swear the older he gets, the better he builds. Although Antonio may not be young chronologically, he is young in spirit and his guitars have a spring-like freshness to them that just enchants.
