This guitar, like the 07 Spruce Millennium, is also an ‘uber-guitar’. I repeat below much of what I said about the Spruce guitar as it applies to this stellar Cedar guitar. The difference of course is the tonal character, and if you have ever had the pleasure of listening to the likes of Bill Kanengiser/John Dearman/Sharon Isbin and others, you know how warm, musical and beautiful Tom’s Cedar guitars sound. The top is a rich honey color and the Brazilian Rosewood back and sides have such a deep richness to them that they almost look like beautifully polished, eons old, petrified wood. To that description I add the following from the description of the Spruce Millennium as it applies perfectly to this instrument as well:

This guitar demonstrates why more notable concert and recording artists play a Millennium than the guitars of any other single builder. And more importantly, why they play them year after year and never seem to change! When asked, they report the reason for this is two fold: 1) the incredible response that these guitars possess, reacting quickly and decisively to every nuance of the players attack and 2) an inherent ‘musicality’ that exists within the guitar itself. This quality may be the most important factor of all. These two attributes, along with so many others lead my clients to rave about these guitars in superlatives that I seldom hear. Lavish praise to say the least. Expressive guitars with superior volume and flawless playability. The list of Millennium owners is like a ‘who’s who’ of the classical guitar world. A wonderful guitar with everything you could ever hope for in a concert instrument. Cedar or Spruce is a personal choice, but one thing is certain, you can not go wrong with either choice as it relates to owning a Millennium guitar.
