Man, can guitars get any better than this? Dominque continues to exceed expectations with this Cedar guitar, absolutely beyond description it is such a delight to play. I quote myself here from my comments on the last Delarue I sold as the comments apply equally to this guitar: "Beautifully fluid supportive basses with clear expressive trebles harmonizing effortlessly with no need for the player to compensate in any way. The word “Sublime” comes to mind. No wonder Dominique Delarue is being hailed as the new Daniel Friederich." Knowledgeable players who love Daniel Friederich’s guitars are continually contacting me to say they like Delaure guitars as much, and sometimes even more, than their Friederich. The comments below are excerpted from an email a client of mine recently sent.” "Just got off the phone with a friend of a friend who is a Friederich guy. Anyway, he was in Paris and got to play some new guitars, he got to play a Delarue. He supposedly has an amazing spruce Friederich made in the late 1970s that he plays all the time at home. He said he was floored by the Delarue he played in Paris. Says it had all the sparkle of his Friederich with an even more beautiful overall tone. He says he is planning to get one and will call you after the first of the year." I don’t think I could add anything to the description of this guitar that would convey anything more than the two quotes above already have. Sublime indeed... ©2007 Classic Guitars International • All rights reserved |
