This guitar quickly found an appreciative new home, if you would like to order a Royal custom built for you please contact me... This is the finest guitar that Paulino builds. The most beautiful and well aged woods are reserved for the "Royal" model and it is truly the ultimate Bernabe guitar. This guitar was quietly set aside by Paulino who loved it so much that he desired to keep it for a fine concert artist or a true Bernabe connoisseur. Luckily he mentioned it to me in a recent conversation and I pleaded with him to let me have it for my clients. Paulino graciously and kindly agreed. Bernabe guitars, and especially the Royal, are the definitive Spanish Guitar available today and their beauty in both appearance and tone are legendary. I am extremely excited to offer this guitar from the builder that many consider to be the best luthier in Spain. The craftsmanship is standard setting, the quality, age, and beauty of the woods are such that they are rarely equaled by any luthier in the world. The well aged Brazilian is refined and sensual, Brazilian that is rarely seen these days. The phenomenal Spruce top is aged 40 plus years and the intricate detail literally begs you to grab a magnifying glass and try to find a flaw. Perfection. The instrument has surprising power, rivaling that of many lattice and double tops that I offer, due to a combination of superb building skill, superior materials, Paulino's own modified fan braced system (especially refined for the Royal and Imperial only), and the double sides of Brazilian Rosewood. Tonal beauty, with rich colors, note-to-note evenness, and stunning clarity evolve into a purely heart felt Spanish character that will only grow more inspiring as the guitar is played in over the years. Graf tuners did not arrive in time to be installed so I asked Paulino install the next best thing, Rodgers with black mother of pearl buttons.
