This guitar recently found a new home, but I have a new, hand picked, Marin due around April. He is building the best guitars of his career at this time in my opinion. I recently hosted the LA Guitar Quartet here in Santa Barbara where they performed a wonderful program for a very appreciative audience. On stage, Scott played his Dammann, and John and Bill played their Humphrey Millennium guitars, a powerful trio indeed. And what was the sole "Spruce" guitar that was tasked with the chore of complimenting the voices of these three powerful Cedar canons? Matt Greif, the Quartet’s newest member, easily and beautifully accomplished this with his Marin. 'Nuff said?

Important note: ALL my Marin’s are hand selected by a good personal friend and respected classical guitar concert artist who lives in Europe. He travels to Spain EACH time a Marin is available for me. He plays the guitar extensively, and ONLY acquires it if he knows it will meet my strict standards. Anything less, he leaves for others. Marin is a great builder, and if you love his guitars, you will always find the best, hand selected, examples of his work here at Classic Guitars.

Although Marin has stated he intends to retire soon, he is building some of the finest guitars of his career at this time. They represent the quintessential Spanish sound to many players, and they have an emotional content that is truly heart warming. Marin, along with Paulino Bernabe are arguably two of the most highly acclaimed builders in Spain today. This guitar is a superb Marin, much like the one I offered earlier this year. Clear, full, romantic trebles perfectly blended with lush yet vibrant basses, offering both the player and the listener the kind of emotional experience that too many guitars never achieve.
