This is a beautifully built like new guitar from French luthier Dominique Field. Completed in late 06 and delivered in early 2007. Although located in Paris, along with Daniel Friederich, he builds in a style totally different than Friederich, a style he feels is uniquely his own. Lovers of the Friederich style might prefer the guitars of another superb French builder, Dominique Delarue whom Dominique Field has said is the most likely successor to Daniel Friederich. But for those who appreciate Field's instruments, they represent a fine guitar from an excellent French builder. Beautiful woods, excellent craftsmanship, and the tonal character that Field fans find very appealing. Dominique informed me that he has recently closed his waiting list. If you don't happen to be on his waiting list at this time, this is an excellent opportunity to own a brand new Field now. The owner of this guitar recently acquired a wonderful old Santos Hernandez and had to make the tough decision to let his Field go to facilitate the other purchase.
