Jim's guitars are renowned world-wide and continue to be my best selling guitars year after year. Owners love them, and in spite of the many Redgate guitars being played around the world it is not so common to find a pre owned one. Folks just tend to keep them forever. I tend to feel lucky if I get one pre-owned Redgate a year, if that. So I am very happy to have this guitar which was built for a dear friend of Jim's in 2001.The guitar is really like new, in unbelievable condition and just beautiful. The real beauty however is in the tone and 'presence' that it has, it is very well played in, super 'open' and vibrant with excellent volume/projection, gorgeous sustain, and also has Jim's trademark supremely easy playability. Notes are colorful and round and it is very balanced across all registers. It would be as if you just received a brand new Redgate, only somehow magically someone played it in beautifully for you for ten years before you got it! Nice.
